Alzheimer's Program

The Activate protocol for Alzheimer's combines coordinated movements on GIGER MD, transcutaneous blood laser irradiation, and targeted nutritional approach. Goal: slow cognitive decline, reduce inflammation and stimulate neuronal plasticity.

Activate Protocol for Alzheimer's: an innovative integrative approach

At the Activate center in Geneva, we offer a unique integrative approach to support people with Alzheimer's disease or related disorders (senile dementia, mild cognitive impairment, etc.). This protocol is based on the synergy of three non-drug interventions, scientifically grounded and carefully adapted to each patient:

1. GIGER MD® Therapy: reprogramming the brain through movement

The GIGER MD® is a Swiss device that mobilizes the patient in a rhythmic cross-pattern movement of arms and legs. This activity, repeated at high frequency, stimulates the neural networks responsible for coordination, balance, motor memory and cognitive functions. Studies have shown improved vegetative regulation, working memory and decreased dependence in activities of daily living in patients with neurodegenerative disorders.

Why is this useful for Alzheimer's? Because motor and cognitive circuits are intimately linked. Stimulating one supports the other, and cross-pattern movements restart interhemispheric communication. Moreover, the pleasure and motivation induced improve long-term adherence to the program.

2. Transcutaneous blood laser irradiation (LLLT)

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), applied to the wrists or areas rich in blood vessels, emits photons into the bloodstream without injection or pain. This type of light (generally 630-660 nm) increases oxygenation, activates mitochondria, and improves cerebral microvascular circulation.

Why is this useful for Alzheimer's? Because inflammation, cerebral hypoxia and mitochondrial deficiencies play a major role in disease progression. LLLT acts at these three levels, stimulating cellular repair processes and improving neuronal communication.

3. Functional and nutritional medicine

In parallel, we offer a complete functional assessment to identify nutritional, inflammatory, hormonal or mitochondrial deficits. Based on this, personalized recommendations are formulated: vitamins, omega-3, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory diet, or blood-brain barrier support.

Why is this useful for Alzheimer's? Because this disease is now considered multicausal: toxins, insulin resistance, deficiencies, intestinal permeability or chronic inflammation can accelerate decline. Correcting these imbalances can slow or even stop progression.

A synergy with lasting effects

The combination of these three approaches creates a cumulative beneficial effect: better cerebral perfusion, greater mitochondrial activity, better neuronal plasticity, better mood and more stable cognition. This protocol is non-invasive, suitable for all stages, and can be integrated with conventional medical follow-up.

For whom is it indicated?

This protocol is intended for:

Patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease

People with vascular or mixed dementia

Patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI)

Adults with family history of Alzheimer's, for active prevention
